APPLICATION FOR RESIDENCY IN RIGA 2009

”Culture and Arts Project NOASS“ announce a call for application to Artist-in-Residence programme in Riga.

We are looking for:

A professional artist, curator or cultural manager from Baltic or
Nordic states (Permanently living in one of these countries). With
personal motivation to carry out artistic activity.
We especially welcome candidates who work in the field of video art or
who are interested in naïve art or art brut.

We offer up to 2 month working stay in 2009 with:

1)Accommodation
2) Working conditions
3) Presentation space
4) Visits - we offer the resident the chance to discover Tallinn and
Vilnius. He or she would have the additional opportunity to discover
alternative culture centres including: Aizpute, Liepāja, Kuldīga,
Sabile, Talsi and Kandava. This will provide a more complete
introduction not only to urban life in Latvia, but also to its small
towns, landscapes and open spaces.

5) Expenses covered:

We cover travel expenses, lodging, per diems, and other costs directly
related to the artists´ activities during the residence period within
reason and upon
previous agreement with the team of Culture and Arts Project NOASS.
